BROOKINGS – Brookings County is seeking interested individuals who reside in Brookings County to serve on the following volunteer boards:
• 4-H Promotion and Expansion Committee – term length two years (membership contains one agriculture designee appointed by the County Commission); term Jan. 1, 2021, to Dec. 31, 2022
• Brookings County Outdoor Activity Center Advisory Board – term length one year (the board is seekings an archery range committee member) term Jan. 1, 2021, to Dec. 31, 2021
• First District Planning Board – term length two years – term Jan. 1, 2021 to Dec. 31, 2022
• Planning and Zoning Commission – term length three years – (Planning and Zoning Board opening represents District 4, and will fill an unexpired term. Candidates representing District 4 must reside in one of the following townships: Richland (southern), Alton, Aurora, Trenton, Parnell, or Elkton) – term Jan. 1, 2021, to Dec. 31, 2023
• Planning and Zoning Commission alternate – term length three years – term Jan. 1, 2021, to Dec. 31, 2023
The application deadline for these positions is 5 p.m. Nov. 6.
