Walker to hold faculty recital

BROOKINGS – South Dakota State University professor John Walker will perform a faculty recital of solo and chamber music recital at 7:30 p.m. March 11 in the Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on campus.

The concert is free and open to the public.

The featured solo work is Mozart’s “Sonata in C Minor, K. 467.” The remainder of the program will be chamber works, including “Clarinet Trio in A Minor, Op. 114” by Johannes Brahms, a transcription of Brahms’s “Clarinet Quintet” for clarinet and piano by Walker, and the premiere of Walker’s “Sonatina for Cello and Piano.”

Guest artists on the program are SDSU Associate Professor Michael Walsh and cellist Eric Bliss of Huron.
