WATERTOWN – Above, the Outlaws 14U Mergen team won its division at the Watertown Throwdown last weekend, posting a 5-0 record.

The Outlaws beat the Brandon Valley Outlaws 12-0, the Lennox Venom 8-2 and the Hartford Sparx 7-3 on Saturday.

In Sunday’s action, the Outlaws defeated the Hartford Sparx 7-3 and then dropped Parkston 9-4 in the championship game.

Below, the Outlaws 12U squad won its division at the Watertown Throwdown over the weekend.

The Outlaws fell 6-5 to Parkston in their opening game. Madalee Howell had a pair of doubles, while Morgan Linstad singled twice and stole three bases. They bounced back with a 17-2 defeat of the Fargo Fusion and a 14-2 victory over Marshall to round out pool play. Sydney Bebensee tallied a pair of doubles and Gracie Adamson struck out five batters while earning the pitching win versus Fargo. Against Marshall, Zoe Tetzlaff (triple, three RBIs) and Bebensee both collected a pair of hits. Kylie Moe picked up the win in the circle, striking out 10 batters.

The Outlaws beat the Brookings Blast 13-1 in the first bracket game Sunday. Adamson singled twice, Moe doubled and Bebensee had three stolen bases. Adamson was credited with the win.

The Outlaws dropped Watertown 10-1 in the title game. Tetzlaff hit a home run, singled and drove in three runs. Devine doubled and stole a pair of bases. Adamson singled twice. Bebensee was the winning pitcher, as she had four strikeouts.
