BROOKINGS – A local business was burgled at two different locations and several items were stolen, including a welder, according to Brookings Police.
The theft was reported about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, Lt. Marci Gebers said.
“The business reported that items were stolen from two of their locations in Brookings – the 100 block of Sunrise Ridge Road and the 500 block of Insbrook Lane – between noon on Sept. 5 and 6:20 a.m. Sept. 7,” she said.
Items stolen during the burglary were: tig welder; 12 Miller welding masks; Huck gun; plasma cutter; 1” peer bearings; and a personally owned Miller welding mask with “Joker dice” graphic on it.
“The total loss is estimated at approximately $14,970. There were no signs of forced entry at either location. The investigation is ongoing,” Gebers said.
