KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The KcK Wildfire All-Star cheer teams competed in their final competition of the season at Cheersport over the weekend.

Wildfire returned with four Grand Champions; a Level 2 Overall Champion; a fifth-place finish; and a sixth place.

Along with all the outstanding performances, Indigo and Shine joined Sapphire in receiving their qualifying bid to compete at the D2 Summit Cheer Competition. These bids are earned by having the top scores in each division.

The D2 Summit is a live elimination competition where teams from gyms with 125 athletes or less will face off May 12-14 at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Fla.

Only 10 percent of teams from across the country will make the cut and take “the climb.” The Summit is the best of the best and this is a first for any team in Brookings.

KcK Wildfire started nine years ago and has expanded into a little of everything to include cheer, Ninja class, tumbling class, Mommy & Me, birthday parties and inflatables, along with many other activities. Specifically, competitive cheer includes kids in the age range of 3-18 spanning the area of Brookings, Volga, Arlington, Madison and Tyler, Minn. Visit http://kckwildfire.com/ for more information.
