South Dakota State’s Douglas Wilson added another accolade to his 2019-20 collection this week, as CollegeInsider.com announced the Jackrabbit junior as a member of its Lou Henson Mid-Major All-America Team.

Wilson joins Mike Daum (2017-19) and Nate Wolters (2012) as Jackrabbits to earn the recognition.

The Des Moines, Iowa, native averaged 20.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game in Summit League play, shooting 64.1 percent from the field with 20 blocks, 11 steals and 33 assists. Wilson scored in double figures in all 27 of his 29 appearances for the season, breaking the 20-point margin 12 times with a trio of 30-point performances.

He was selected as an NABC and USBWA All-District Performer, and garnered Summit League Player and Newcomer of the Year honors alongside an All-Summit League First Team nod.

The Mid-Major All-America Team honors Lou Henson, the former Illinois and New Mexico State coach who won 775 games in 41 seasons. Players on teams from the following conferences are eligible for the award: America East, Atlantic Sun, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, Great West, Horizon, Independents, Ivy, Metro Atlantic, Mid-American, Mid-Eastern, Missouri Valley, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Southwestern, Summit, Sun Belt, West Coast.
