BUSHNELL – An Aurora woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident Saturday, according to the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.

The accident was reported at 6:03 p.m. Saturday and occurred on Main Street in Bushnell, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring said.

Kristen Norgaard, 35, of Aurora, was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle.

“It was found Kristen Norgaard, 35, of Aurora, had accelerated too quickly causing the rear to ‘fishtail.’ While doing this, the motorcycle went onto its side where the driver was found,” Sebring said.

Norgaard was taken to the Brookings hospital by the Brookings Ambulance for unknown injuries, Sebring said.

The Harley sustained $2,150 in damage, he added.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol and the Aurora Fire Department also responded.
