Zanini, a 2017 regional qualifier in the women's hammer throw, holds a 4.00 grade point average in Exercise Science and earned a spot on the team in recognition of combined athletic and classroom performances.

She was a 2015 Outdoor Track and Field All-Summit League Selection, and in 2017 took seventh in the hammer throw at the Summit League Outdoor Championships.
She holds the top five spots on SDSU's hammer throw performance chart this season, tossing a personal best of 188-02 earlier this season at the Pacific Meet.
