BROOKINGS COUNTY — The theft of a fence energizer northwest of Bruce is being investigated by the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The Gallager B100-branded device is valued at around $600, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office, and was taken between 9 a.m. Sept. 11 and 2:35 p.m. Tuesday. It disappeared from a field on 199th Street near 462nd Avenue, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring wrote.
A fence energizer takes in electrical energy from an outside source and pulses it through an electric fence.
