Sioux Valley leads the way with seven players. Brookings and Elkton-Lake Benton each had five selections.
Estelline/Hendricks and Colman-Egan each had two players and Flandreau had one selection.
Rose is the Register Player of the Year and was an All-State selection. He ran for 1,675 yards and 17 touchdowns on 149 carries, which equaled out to 11.3 yards per carry. He is the Sioux Valley all-time leading rusher and scorer with 3,453 yards and 53 total touchdowns. A full feature story on Rose will be in Monday’s edition of Register.
Christopherson was an All-State selection as he had 60 tackles for the Cossacks in 2024. He also had one sack, one safety, one interception and four fumble recoveries. Christopherson rushed for 1,000 yards on offense and scored 15 touchdowns on the ground.
Guthmiller was an All-State selection and had a strong senior season for the Cossacks with 55 tackles, three tackles for a loss and one sack.
Degen was an All-State selection as a kicker. Made three field goals with a long of 36 yards. He was also 53-of-54 on extra points. For his career he made 105 extra points.
A 2024 All-State selection, Lembcke led the Cossack offensive line that powered the Sioux Valley offense to 395 yards per game.
Squires was an All-State selection. He was a key blocker for a Sioux Valley offense that had 4,339 total yards. He had four catches for 77 yards and a touchdown.
Top was an All-State selection as he had 36 tackles, seven tackles for a loss and one sack in 2024.
An All-State selection, Stern had 103 total tackles in 2024. He made plates all over the field with two tackles for a loss, three forced fumbles, two interceptions and one fumble recovery. He scored two defensive touchdowns as well.
Hahn was an All-State selection. Was a three-year starter at left guard. Helped the Bobcats gain almost 2,500 yards in 2024.
An All-State selection, Bisgard had 45 tackles in 2024. He had four interceptions, a forced fumble and one defensive touchdown. For his career he had 128 total tackles, eight interceptions, three tackles for a loss, one sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Tetzlaff was an All-State selection and had 128 total tackles for the Bobcats. He also had seven tackles for a loss, two sacks and one fumble recovery. He had 25 catches for 561 yards and nine touchdowns on offense.
Conrad was an All-State honorable mention. He ran for 679 yards and five touchdowns on 142 carries. For his career he had 960 total yards and nine total touchdowns.
De Vries was an All-State running back despite playing in just five and a half games due to injury. He ran for 511 yards and six touchdowns on 66 carries (92.6 yards per carry). For his career he ran for 1,493 yards and 22 touchdowns. On defense he had 47.5 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for a loss and one sack.
Stein was an All-State selection. He led the Elks with 603 yards and seven touchdowns on 31 catches. He also ran for 743 yards and 14 touchdowns on 59 carries (12.59 yards per rush). In his career he had 2,785 total yards and 39 touchdowns. On defense he had 80.5 total tackles, 11.5 tackles for a loss, three interceptions and one fumble recovery.
Boersma was an All-State defensive lineman. On defense he had 38.5 tackles, 14 tackles for a loss, 10.5 sacks and a forced fumble. Helped the Elks run for 3,165 yards and in total ELB had 4,751 yards in 68 touchdowns in 2024.
Drietz had 18 catches for 390 yards and seven touchdowns. He also ran for 117 yards and four touchdowns. On defense he had 33.5 total tackles, 9.5 tackles for a loss, four interceptions and 12 passes defended.
Beck was an All-State selection as an athlete. He was the quarterback for the Elks and passed for 1,468 yards, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions, while completing 59% of his passes. He ran for 936 yards, 19 touchdowns and scored 118 points in 2024. On defense he had 47 total tackles, six tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
James was an All-State selection as an athlete. He played both wide receiver and defensive back for the Redhawks in 2024. He had 30 catches for 422 yards and three touchdowns. On defense he had 64 tackles and three interceptions. For his career he had 809 receiving yards and eight total touchdowns offensively. He also had two return touchdowns on special teams. He had 168 tackles, 12 interceptions, one of which went for a touchdown, and four fumble recoveries.
Reitz was an All-State selection as he had 81 tackles and 31 of them were solo. For his career he had 137 tackles and six sacks.
Zwart was an All-State selection at wide receiver with 29 catches for 479 yards for the Hawks in 2024.
Jase was an All-State honorable mention in Class 9B. He had 65 tackles, three sacks, three interceptions and one fumble recovery in 2024.
Parsley was 92-of-185 through the air with 1,407 yards passing and 15 touchdowns. He had 235 yards rushing and two touchdowns. He had 32 solo tackles for the Fliers in 2024 and 16 assisted tackles. He also had three tackles for a loss, one interception and five passes defended.
