BROOKINGS — The application process for the 2025 Kidoodle Council Youth Advisory Board is now open.
Made up of 8- to 13-year-olds, Kidoodle Council is a youth advisory board tasked with being ambassadors for the Children’s Museum of South Dakota. Their duties include generating ideas for programs and exhibits, providing feedback to museum staff guiding direction in future operations, and taking part in volunteer activities.
The 2025 Kidoodle Council will meet 11 times a year. They also will get behind the scenes seeing what it takes to run a museum that sees visitors from all over the country.
Examples of the activities of past council members include planning and executing Mama’s Fun Run, giving feedback and celebrating the opening of the Lunar Life exhibit, and making videos depicting the museum experience.
Applications are due Nov. 1. More information about the application process and the program itself is available at www. prairieplay.org/join-us/join-the-kidoodle-council/ or by calling 605-692-6700.
