BROOKINGS — The Brookings girls’ wrestling team beat Harrisburg 24-9 in a dual on Tuesday night in the auxiliary gym at Brookings High School.
The two teams had wrestlers compete in five matches and the Bobcats won four of them.
Jendis Sackreiter kicked off the match for the Bobcats in the 250-pound weight class and she pinned Rachel Kelly in one minute and 29 seconds. Bailey TeKrony then took the mat at 107 and she pinned Benzair Wilson in 3:25.
Brookings’ Lilly Toft pinned Kalin Herold-Stephens in 54 seconds at 114. Regan Peacock picked up a victory for the Tigers at 120 as she won a 13-7 decision over Ramsie Hinricher. Kami Erickson had the final victory of the night for Brookings and she pinned Cameron Talkington in 1:29 at 126. Tayla Schiltz won via forfeit for Harrisburg at 165.
Brookings will take the mat next tonight in Aberdeen as the Bobcats take on Aberdeen Central in a dual that starts at 7 p.m.
