Bobcats announce 2025 Sports Hall of Fame class

BROOKINGS — Brookings High School will induct the five members of the 2025 Hall of Fame Class at the 21st annual Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony during halftime of the Bobcat football game on Sept. 12. 

Kickoff for the game at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium is set for 7 p.m.

The inductees were selected because they demonstrated exemplary accomplishments in educational sports as student-athletes, members of the athletics department staff at Brookings High School or contributors. The 2025 Class of the Bobcat Sports Hall of Fame includes one inductee in each of five categories.

The Male “Veteran” category will be represented by Tim Raney (1978). Laura Heitbrink is the Female “Veteran” representative. Phil Workman (2007) is the Male and Tiffany Moe (2006) is the Female. The final representative is Jerry Kluess (1984-2004) and he is the Coach.

The 1989 girls track and field team that was coached by Kluess will also be honored as the 2025 “Bobcats” Team of Honor.

Full biographies on each of the inductees will be released at a later date.
