YANKTON – The Brookings gymnastics team came in fifth place in the Eastern South Dakota Conference Championship on Saturday in Yankton.
The Bobcats had a team score of 138.275. Harrisburg won the championship with a score of 152.350. Mitchell came in second (150.700), Watertown came in third (143.225) and Pierre finished in fourth (139.875).
Layla Erickson had an all around score of 35.650. She had a score of 9.200 on the uneven bars and a score of 8.225 in the balance beam. Erickson had a score of 9.275 in the floor exercise and 8.950 in the vault.
Kennedy Ronning had an all around score of 34.075. She had a score of 8.375 in the uneven bars and 8.225 in the balance beam. Ronning had a score of 8.950 in the floor exercise and 8.525 in the vault.
Nevaeh Strofus had an all around score of 33.900. She had a score of 8.100 in the uneven bars and 8.175 in the balance beam. Strofus had a score of 8.675 in the floor exercise and 8.950 in the vault.
Ava Petterson had an all around score of 32.875. She had a score of 8.175 in the uneven bars and 7.800 in the balance beam. Petterson had a score of 8.450 in both the floor exercise and the vault.
Brooklyn Ballis had a score of 8.700 in the uneven bars, 7.500 in the balance beam and 9.150 in the floor exercise. Lexi Norgaard had a score of 7.450 in the uneven bars, 7.675 in the balance beam and 8.300 in the vault. Liv Halverson had a score of 8.450 in the floor exercise and 8.925 in the vault.
The Bobcats will compete in the Class AA State Qualification Meet in Watertown on Feb. 8 at 3 p.m.
