Monday, May 6
3:34 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop.
9: 27 a.m. The Brookings police took an information report on drugs.
10:10 a.m. Officers responded to the 400 block of Harvey Dunn Street for a hit and run accident.
4:23 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of items stolen from a motor vehicle.
Tuesday, May 7
5:10 p.m. Officers responded to the 700 block of Fifth Street South for the report of disorderly conduct.
9:03 p.m. A report of suspicious activity was taken. No crime was committed. The vehicle was located and driver was issued a warning and a citation for traffic violations.
9:58 p.m. A report was made of a traffic accident. The accident happened on private property and was non-reportable. The parties had already exchanged information. A city accident form will be completed.
Wednesday, May 8
6:20 a.m. The Brookings Police Department took a vehicle theft report. Two vehicles were stolen from the 1400 block of First Street.
6:55 a.m. An officer took a state reportable two-vehicle, non-injury accident report.
8:27 a.m. Animal surrender.
8:52 a.m. Officers assisted Brookings County and Lincoln County with a call.
10:44 a.m. Officers took an assault report. The suspect was later located and arrested.
1:39 p.m. Brookings Police received a tip on drug activity from the FBI tip line.
