12:16 a.m. An officer arrested an individual for DUI.
12:23 p.m. A male walked into the Brookings Police Department that another vehicle struck his in the Hy-Vee parking lot and drove away.
2:10 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of suspicious activity.
Sunday, July 28
1:46 a.m. An officer arrested an individual for simple assault.
1:46 a.m. Officers responded to the downtown bar area for a weapons call. Two males where taken to the detention center.
9:40 a.m. Officers took a report of a theft from vehicle.
11:54 a.m. Officers took a report for theft from a motor vehicle.
3:01 p.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury accident.
3:13 p,m. A female walked into the Brookings Police Department to report harassment or a possible assault that occurred the previous night.
6:37 p.m. Officers responded to a report of a hit and run.
Monday, July 29
8:50 a.m. Police took a report of theft from a motor vehicle.
10 a.m. A minor vandalism and a theft were reported to the Brookings Police Department. The incident happened at a construction site and was reported by the builder of the home.
10:50 a.m. Officers were called to take a report of vandalism.
1:31 p.m. A referral was sent to Brookings police from the Department of Social Services.
2:15 p.m. Officers took a report of a vehicle break-in on the 2400 block of Ninth Street.
3:39 p.m. An officer took a report of a vehicle license plate taken.
4:28 p.m. Police began an investigation into the distribution of controlled substances.
