  • 12:48 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a theft.
  • 8:04 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a harassing phone call
  • 4:27 p.m. Officers took a report of a protection order violation.

Monday, Aug. 5

  • 12:02 p.m. A two-vehicle, non-injury crash report was taken.
  • 1:11 p.m. An officer responded to a two- vehicle, non-injury accident in the 2100 block of Eighth Street South. A city accident report was completed.
  • 1:18 p.m. An assault report was taken.
  • 4:16 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a fraud report.
  • 5:39 p.m. Officers took a report of stolen bikes. A report was filed.

Tuesday, Aug. 6

  • 8:58  a.m. An officer was given a candidate to start a background investigation on for a position with the Brookings Police Department.
  • 9:50 a.m. An officer responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury accident in the 2100 block of Eighth Street South. A city accident report was completed.
  • 10:12 a.m. Police received an email from a parent in regards to custody of her children.
  • 11:29 a.m. Officers took a phone call of harassment.
  • 12:32 p.m. Officers responded for a injury crash. A report was filed.
  • 1:39 p.m. Officers investigated an assault complaint.
  • 2:17 p.m. Officers responded to a unattended death, the investigation is ongoing.
  • 2:58 p.m. Police generated a report in regard to an account being hacked.
  • 3:39 p.m. The Brookings Police Department received a report of possible child neglect. The report is being investigated.
  • 7:37 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a non-injury accident report.

  • 2:30  a.m. he Brookings Police Department conducted a traffic stop. After an investigation the driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
  • 3:33 a.m. The Brookings Police Department took a mental health related call.
  • 11:02 a.m. Officers took a report of a theft.
  • 12:58 p.m. A community service officer responded to Sanford Clinic to take report of a dog bite.
  • 4 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of theft by exploitation.
  • 5:50 p.m. Officers took a report of a two vehicle collision.
  • 7:33 p.m. Officers responded to an assault in progress at wal-mart where a male party was placed under arrest.
  • 11:14 p.m. A report of an intoxicated driver resulted in a male being arrested for DUI.
