Friday, Aug. 16
2:26 a.m. A vehicle was stopped for traffic violations. A male driver was arrested for DUI.
5 p.m. The CSO unit was notified of an animal scratch/attack that occurred at approximately 8 a.m. that day.
Saturday, Aug. 17
1:59 a.m. Officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. One individual was arrested for DUI.
4:35 a.m, Officers responded to a active burglary report. It was determined a burglary was not actually occurring and two individuals were arrested for drug related offenses.
8:43 a.m. Brookings Police conducted a traffic stop. The driver was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
10:56 a.m. Officers took a report of harassing phone calls.
12:06 p.m. Police responded to an Ambulance call.
7:39 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop. One person was arrested on drug charges.
10:56 p.m. A report was made of trespassing at a residence in Brookings. The suspects are unknown. Nothing was damaged or stolen. The incident is under Investigation.
Sunday, Aug. 18
1:35 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle theft.
1:52 a.m. A 20-year-old male was cited for minor in consumption. A court date was issued.
2;32 a.m. Officers responded to a business alarm call.
9:34 a.m. An officer responded to the intersection of Sixth Street and 22nd Avenue for the report of a two vehicle, non-injury accident.
9:32 p.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop. One person was arrested for DUI.
11:56 p.m. The Brookings Police Department assisted the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office on a mental health-related call.
