BROOKINGS — United Way Worldwide globally refreshed their brand, which was publicly launched on Oct. 23.
Brookings Area United Way is an early adopter in the global brand refresh that United Way Worldwide is doing. This allows Brookings Area United Way access to all of the new branding assets for local use as well as trainings that have taken place over the past two years.
The biggest thing that the public will notice is a new logo, with refreshed colors and visual assets. However, there are many different aspects being refreshed, including messaging and the community impact areas. The reason for this refresh is that the United Way brand is misunderstood on a global level and is seen as unmemorable or not needed.
This refresh is working to simplify messaging at the local level to work towards connecting those in need, to those who can help, and we are working to mobilize our community so all of its members can thrive.
This refresh has allowed us to reassess the way we put the brand into the community, the accessibility of our website for all users, and how our funded partners help tell our story.
There will be changes right away, but a lot of the branding will slowly switch over before BAUW has to be completely refreshed by December 2026.
