BROOKINGS — The Brookings School District Foundation has announced the launch of its Founders Drive campaign, an initiative aimed at providing ongoing support for the 3,500 students of the Brookings School District.
Running through the end of 2025, the campaign offers community members the opportunity to pledge their support for education at a level that best suits their needs, ensuring a lasting positive impact on local students and the broader community.
Donations to the Founders Drive will provide funding for additional educational programs, student opportunities, and initiatives that directly enhance the learning experiences of Brookings’ students. Donors can contribute in two installments: the first half of the pledge is due in 2025, with the second half due in 2026. The campaign offers Giving Circles, each with its own recognition, to accommodate various giving preferences and levels of commitment.
All contributions directly benefit local students by providing them with enhanced opportunities for growth, success, and achievement. Supporters of this campaign are making a significant contribution to education, strengthening the community and helping to build a brighter future for Brookings.
With 60% of young adults remaining in or returning to the communities where they grew up, the education our students receive today directly impacts the workforce, families, and the future of our city. "Education is the cornerstone of our community's future," said Brookings School District Foundation Director Kyleigh Cramer. "By supporting this campaign, we ensure that our students are given the best possible opportunities for success now and that our graduates are equipped with the tools and resources they need to succeed as adults, while fostering a thriving, vibrant community."
