The Brookings wrestling teams were each beaten in duals against Aberdeen Central on Thursday night.
The Bobcat girls fell 42-24 and the boys lost 66-7. Each team will compete in the Yankton Invite this weekend. The girls will compete on Friday and the boys on Saturday.
The Bobcats won two of the three matches that were actually played.
Bailey TeKrony pinned Avery Bendewald in 3:02 in the 107-pound weight class. Ramsie Hinrich pinned Jashila Williams in 1:28 at 120. Aberdeen’s Jasmine Maas pinned Kami Erickson in 2:23 at 126.
Lily Toft and Kendis Sackreiter each picked up wins by forfeit for the Bobcats. Wylynn Drevlow, Rakyrah Wallace, Lin Paw Jone, Grace Reszler, Lilly Nelson and Augustina Hieb all had forfeit victories for the Eagles.
The Bobcats won two of the 12 matches on Thursday night.
The Eagles kicked off the dual with back-to-back victories. Jackson Dargatz pinned Bode TeKrony in one minute and six seconds in the 106-pound weight class. Esten Foss then pinned Hunter Mellon in 57 seconds at 113.
Micah Stern got the Bobcats on the board as he won an 11-6 decision over Will Allen at 120.
Porter Lozenski won a 16-0 technical fall over Cayden Westall at 144 and Brody Beilespacher picked up a forfeit victory at 150. Mason Schrempp won a 19-2 technical fall over James Fitzpatrick at 157 and Elia Biegler pinned Colten Walsh in 17 seconds at 165.
Gabriel Stern won the second match of the night for the Bobcats. He won a 12-4 decision over Grayden Timm at 175.
The Eagles finished the match with three-straight wins. Cole Dunlavy won a 15-3 decision over Blake Kannegieter at 190 and Ryker Meister pinned Gabe Armstrong in 19 seconds at 215. In the final match of the night Joran Foss pinned Dylan Reynolds in 2:47 at 285.
