BROOKINGS — Copper wiring valued at approximately $9,000 has been stolen from mining equipment, this time just southeast of Brookings.
The incident occurred at 9:48 p.m. Sunday and was reported at 3:01 p.m. Wednesday, according to a Thursday news release from the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office. The thievery happened at a building site on 32nd Street near 34th Avenue Southeast.
