LAKE PRESTON — The Iroquois-Lake Preston Sharks faced De Smet in high school boys’s basketball action Monday night. The Bulldogs came away with a 76-55 win.
The game was nearly even at the start with De Smet, holding a 15-13 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Bulldogs pushed the lead to 32-24 lead at half.
De Smet had a monster third quarter, scoring 27 points and pushing the lead to 21. Each team scored 17 points in the fourth period.
The Sharks had three players in double-figure scoring, Lucas Peskey, Ervin Carter and Rayson Timm with 16, 15 and 12, respectively.
Carter and Peskey were the leading rebounders for ILP with eight and seven, respectively,
Ryne Greene and Peskey each had two 3-pointers for the Sharks. Greene ended up with seven points.
The loss puts the Sharks at 6-10 overall and 4-4 in conference play.
