ARLINGTON — The Arlington Cardinals fell to the Dell Rapids St. Mary Cardinals 81-38 in high school boys’ basketball action Monday night.
DRSM led the entire game, building a 61-23 halftime lead and cruising to a 43-point victory.
The leading scorer for Arlington was Brecken Vossler, tallying 13 points with three 3-pointers and two assists. Paxton Rheault added seven points and Sergio Maldonado scored six for Arlington. Rheault was the leading rebounder for Arlington with seven and Maldonado grabbed four boards. Arlington shot 25% from the field for the game and were four of four from the charity stripe.
DRSM had three double-figure scorers, Maverick LeBrun with 25, Trevon Beckman with 23 and Jake Kopsas with 11.
Beckman was the top rebounder for DRSM with 13 and Lebrun had 11.DRSM shot 47% from the field and 74% from the free throw line.
The win pushes DRSM’s record to 15-1 and Arlington falls to 1-14.
