The Deubrook Area girls’ basketball team blew out Madison at home on Tuesday night.
The Dolphins beat the Bulldogs 52-17. In other area action the Flandreau boys lost to Dell Rapids 53-38.
It was total domination for the Dolphins on Tuesday night. They led 16-8 at the end of the first quarter and then shut out the Bulldogs in the second quarter and took a 35-8 lead into halftime. Deubrook extended the lead 43-12 at the end of the score and outscored Madison 7-4 in the final quarter.
Duebrook was led by Kylee Johnson who had 25 points. Carly Engelstad had nine points. Ella Malone led the Bulldogs with nine points.
It was the fourth straight victory for the Dolphins. They are now 13-3 and play at Arlington on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
A strong first half led Dell Rapids to victory on Tuesday. The Quarriers led 13-8 at the end of the first quarter and then extended their lead to 33-14 by halftime. Dell Rapids took a 40-25 lead into the fourth quarter and then each team scored 13 points in the final frame.
Flandreau was led by Kody Kneebone who had nine points and five rebounds. Alexavier Poitra had nine points as well.
Karson Paye had 17 points to lead Dell Rapids. Lincoln Anderson had 13 points.
Flandreau is now 9-5 and hosts Sioux Valley on Thursday at 6:15 p.m.
