BROOKINGS — Eden Hodgins, a music studies and Spanish education major at South Dakota State University, will present her junior recital at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18 in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the SDSU campus.

BROOKINGS — Eden Hodgins, a music studies and Spanish education major at South Dakota State University, will present her junior recital at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18 in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center’s Founders Recital Hall on the SDSU campus.
The Sioux Falls native plays the horn, and her primary instructor is Daniel Kitchens.
Hodgins will perform works by composers Alan Abbott, Ludwig van Beethoven, Paul Basler, Johann Sebastian Bach and Dante Yenque. She will be accompanied by Xuan Kuang on piano and fellow members of the SDSU Brass Quintet, including Caroline Reyner and Mason LeMaster on trumpet, Jackson Bellis on trombone and Austin Teas on bass trombone.
