BROOKINGS — The South Dakota State women's golf team has added Hannah Boraas to its roster for the 2025-26 season.

Boraas is a native of Alexandria, Minnesota, and a 2023 graduate of Alexandria Area High School. A rising junior, Boraas previously played two seasons at Montana State. Her brother, Noah, played golf for the Jackrabbits from 2019-23.

As a sophomore this season, Boraas played in nine events for the Bobcats. Her best finish of the year came at Southern Utah's Lady Thunderbird Invitational, where she placed 15th with a 221 (+5) final scorecard. That tournament included her season-best 70 in the second round. Boraas played in nine tournamens as a freshman and helped the Bobcats finish fourth at the Big Sky Championship in the spring. Boraas fired her career-low 68 at the Clash at Boulder Creek, which is played at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Nevada, also the host course for SDSU's annual Jackrabbit Invitational. Her 77.07 scoring average as a freshman was the third-best by a Bobcat freshman in program history. Also at Montana State, Boraas earned WGCA Academic All-American Scholar honors as both a freshman and sophomore.

In high school, Boraas was a three-time all-state selection and four-time all-conference honoree at Alexandria Area High School. She was a four-time Central Lakes Conference champion and four-time Section 8AAA champion in her career. Boraas graduated with two school records, including lowest single round (67) and lowest two-day tournament (67-73—140). She was the third-ranked golfer in the state of Minnesota as a senior and was a finalist for Minnesota's Miss Golf. Boraas was the 2023 Minnesota Golf Association Women's Amateur Match Play Champion.

Boraas is the daughter of Brent and Amy Boraas. She graduated with a degree in business marketing from Montana State and will pursue a master's in mass communication at South Dakota State.
