Dell Rapids swept Deubrook Area in other area action.
COLMAN — The Hawks picked up a big win, defeating Bridgewater-Emery in five sets on Tuesday night.
B-E put the Hawks in a 2-0 hole, winning the first set 25-21 and the second set 25-22. But the Hawks began to rally with a 25-13 win in set three and a 25-18 win in set four and closed the match by winning the fifth set 15-11.
Brynlee Landis led the way with 27 kills, 15 digs and two aces for the Hawks while Elaina Rhode had 13 kills, 10 digs and three aces.
Kaylee Voelker had 22 assists, a solo block and a block assist and two aces. Presley Luze had 20 digs and two aces. Anna Zwart had four block assists and a solo block. Michoen Williamson had two solo blocks.
The Hawks improved to 14-4 on the year and 6-0 ahead of Thursday’s match at Oldham-Ramona-Rutland.
ELKTON — The Elks picked up the win, defeating the Cardinals in four sets on Tuesday night.
The Elks and Cardinals exchanged wins in the first two sets with ELB winning 25-16 in the first set and Deuel winning the first set 25-23. ELB dominated the fourth set with a 25-5 win, however, and the Elks closed the match with a 25-11 win in the fourth set.
Andrea Renkly led the Elks with 17 kills. Charlie Thooft had 11 kills and Maya Jensen had five kills. Malyha Slegers had 35 assists.
The Elks had seven aces with Renkly having three aces and Payton Kuehl having two aces. Jocelyn Prosch and Thooft each had two block assists and Jensen had a block assist.
Thooft had seven digs, Renkly had six digs while Quinn Slegers had five digs.
The Elks improved to 10-10 on the year and will take part in the Milbank Tournament on Saturday morning.
WHITE — The Quarriers swept the Dolphins, losing in three sets by scores of 25-20, 25-15 and 25-20.
Zoey Molengraaf led Deubrook with six kills. Matte Bauman added three kills to go with a team-high 11 assists.
Kylee Johnson, Chloe Haines and Maddie Schulte each had an ace.
Matti Ramlo had six digs for the Dolphins. Johnson and Schulte each had five digs. Bauman had two blocks.
The Dolphins fell to 13-11 and will compete in the Milbank Tournament on Saturday morning.
