Estelline/Hendricks was the lone area team to come away victorious on Friday night. The Redhawks beat Colman-Egan in a defensive battle, 14-6.
Elkton-Lake Benton fell to Canistota, 24-12, and Flandreau was shut out by Beresford, 27-0.

ELKTON — The Elks lost their first game of the season as they lost to the No. 1 ranked team in Class 9A.
Elkton fell behind 8-0 in the first quarter and then trailed 16-6 at halftime. ELB would then score six more points in the fourth quarter, but the Hawks scored another touchdown and a two-point conversion to make the final 24-12.
Colt Beck was 18-for-25 with 185 yards through the air. He had 146 yards on the ground and two touchdowns on 21 carries. Carson Griffith had seven catches for 104 yards. Tanner Stein had nine catches for 49 yards. Blake De Vries led the ELB defense with 8.5 tackles and a fumble recovery. Griffith had 6.5 tackles, a sack, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Taiton Boersma had a fumble recovery and Quinton Poindexter had an interception.
Canistota quarterback Tage Ortman was 12-for-22 with 189 yards passing and a touchdown. He also had 115 yards on the ground on 17 carries. Cayden Scott had 15 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries.Cayden Scott had three catches for 75 yards and Brady Scott had six catches for 69 yards.
ELB is now 4-1 and plays Iroquois/Lake Preston in Lake Preston on Friday at 7 p.m.

COLMAN — Mattix Huasman’s two passing touchdowns were enough for the Redhawks to beat the Hawks. Hausman’s first touchdown was to Carson Reitz and the second one was to Wyat James. Ethan Axtell also ran in a two-point conversion.
Colman-Egan’s lone touchdown was a passing touchdown from Jack Mousel to Jase Mousel.
Huasman was 5-for-9 for 34 yards. He had 133 yards rushing and an interception on defense.
Wyatt James had two interceptions and three tackles. Matthew McAninch had 13 tackles and Camden Miller had 11 tackles.
Jack Mousel was 17-for-33 with 172 passing yards for Colman-Egan.
Estelline/Henricks is now 2-2 and hosts Centerville in Estelline on Friday at 7 p.m. Colman-Egan is 0-4 and plays at Wolsey-Wessington on Friday at 7 p.m.

FLANDREAU – It was a tough night for the Fliers as they had 116 yards of offense.
Paul Parsley was 7-for-16 for 60 yards. Ben Ballard had three catches for 32 yards and 20 yards on the ground. Parsley had 22 yards rushing and Kody Kneebone had two catches for 16 yards.
Parsley had 10 total tackles and Kneebone had an interception. Micah Otto also had an interception.
Beresford’s Jack Stenen had 12 carries for 130 yards and one touchdown. Gaval Valder had 14 carries for 63 yards and two touchdowns. Malachi James had three catches for 25 yards and a touchdown.
Flandreau is now 2-3 and plays Elk Point-Jefferson on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
