IOWA CITY, Iowa - The South Dakota State men’s golf team finished in fifth place at the Hawkeye Invitational Monday at Finkbine Golf Course.
The Jacks posted an 878 (+14) team score over three rounds in Iowa City. Sophomore Drew Teeter led the Jackrabbits with a 215 (-1) final scorecard to finish in 12th place. His 215 is his best three-round tally as a Jackrabbit. Teeter finished with 12 birdies on the tournament, a team high.
Ty Kretz was even par Monday and finished with a 220 (+4) to tie for 19th place. Tyler Seeling tied for 27th (222, +6), Bryson Mercier tied for 50th (227, +11) and Jake Olson tied for 56th place (230, +14)
Blake Schaper competed as an individual and recorded a 240 (+23) to finish in 73rd place.
Kansas won the team title with four players finishing inside the top 10.
