BROOKINGS — The Brookings Area United Way's Volunteer United program recently announced that the Leadership Brookings task force was named the March 2025 Volunteers of the Month, an area-wide award program sponsored by First Bank & Trust.
The Leadership Brookings task force has played a role in shaping the future of leadership within the community. Over the past year, this group of volunteers has worked to develop and enhance the Leadership Brookings program, ensuring it provides meaningful education, networking, and professional growth opportunities. By coordinating sessions with business leaders, elected officials, and industry experts, the task force has equipped participants with the tools to lead with confidence and engage in civic and community initiatives.
Staff liaison Casey Stickland said, “Their commitment to cultivating strong, informed leaders has made a lasting impact, ensuring our community continues to grow and thrive.”
