LINCOLN COUNTY — A 64-year-old man died Saturday morning resulting from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle crash in Lincoln County.
The driver and front seat passenger sustained serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
The names of the persons involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates a 2008 Chevrolet Suburban was traveling southbound on Interstate 29 near mile marker 61 and lost control of the vehicle on the icy roadway and entered the median, where the vehicle rolled. The driver and front seat passenger were taken to a nearby hospital with serious, non-life-threatening injuries. They were wearing sea tbelts. The backseat passenger sustained fatal injuries. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
