SISSETON — A Bristol man who received fatal injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Saturday afternoon near Sisseton has been identified by authorities.
Preliminary crash information indicates Robert Daniel Ash, 41, the driver of a 2017 Ford F250 pickup, was traveling southbound on Interstate 29 near mile marker 233 when his vehicle entered the west ditch, struck a fence and billboard post and rolled.
Ash sustained fatal injuries from the crash, according to a news release from the South Dakota Department of Public Safety. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary.
