Brookings Activity Center offered a full slate of programs this past October, starting with a cooking class where members learned to make an apple danish braid with fresh apples and an apple ginger ale spritzer.
In recognition of Fire Safety Month, members also visited the South Main Fire Station, learning about the department’s service area and rigorous training regimen.
In another activity, members enjoyed a fall session with Master Gardener Stephen Hartung on saving seeds from perennials, dividing plants, and harvesting bulbs.
Finally, the month wrapped up with a Halloween party filled with costumes and games.
