SIOUX FALLS — South Dakota State student-athletes combined for more than 100 selections to the 2023-24 Summit League Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence, which was announced Wednesday by league officials.

The Jackrabbits totaled 123 selections from 107 student-athletes, with 16 student-athletes recognized for their efforts in two sports. To be honored on the Summit League Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, have used a year of eligibility and completed either three full semesters or five quarters at the nominating institutions.

From SDSU’s contingent, 45 student-athletes have compiled a 3.9 cumulative GPA or higher, with those designated as “with distinction” by an asterisk in the full listing below.

A total of 898 student-athletes were honored league-wide on the Commissioner’s List across 17 sports.

In addition, the Jackrabbit women’s basketball and softball squads were recognized with Team Academic Achievement Awards based on having the highest percentage of list-eligible student-athletes on the Commissioner’s List.
