CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The Jackrabbit wrestling team dropped a tightly contested dual against the No. 14 UNI Panthers on Sunday. The teams split the 10 matches evenly, each taking five matches by decision before UNI was awarded a point on criteria.

The dual opened at 125 pounds, where No. 5 Tanner Jordan went up against UNI’s Kyle Gollhofer. Julian Tagg made his dual debut for the Jackrabbits at 141 pounds against the No. 6 wrestler at 141 pounds, Cael Happel. Tagg battled throughout the first period, fending off several attacks from Happel, but after giving up a takedown in period two dropped a decision to Happel, 4-1.
