SIOUX FALLS — South Dakota State’s Abby Gentry was honored for her performance over the course of the Jackrabbits’ recent weekend series versus North Dakota State, as she was selected as the Kwik Star Summit League Softball Peak Performer of the Week on Monday.
The Jacks completed a three-game sweep over the Bison in Brookings at Jerald T. Moriarty Field on Saturday.
Gentry put together a stellar performance as she went 7-for-9 (.778) at the plate for the Jackrabbits. The sophomore drove in nine RBIs behind a home run, a double and a triple across the three-game set. Gentry also scored three runs. The SDSU third baseman made up all three of the Jackrabbits’ RBIs in a 3-2 result in the second game of the series.
