SIOUX FALLS — South Dakota State outside hitter Sylvie Zgonc was named the Summit League Volleyball Offensive Peak Performers of the Week on Tuesday by conference officials.
Zgonc, who earned her third career offensive award, totaled 49 kills, 23 digs, and seven total blocks as the Jackrabbits went 2-0 during the fifth week of conference play.
The Hartford, Wis., native recorded back-to-back matches with at least 20 kills. Zgonc garnered 24 kills, 13 digs, four total blocks, and was responsible for 27.5 points in a five-set win over South Dakota. The
The Jackrabbit sophomore then registered 25 kills, 10 digs, and 27.5 points in a four-set victory over Denver. Her 49 total kills in two matches were the most by a Summit League player in any combined two contests last week.
