Terry Kay (Cappel) Mallary was born on May 31, 1950, in McCook, Nebraska, the daughter of Clarence and Velda (Godwin) Cappel.
She grew up in Brookings, South Dakota and graduated from Brookings High School in 1968. Terry pursued further education at South Dakota State University in computer technology.
She married Curtis Larkin of Brookings, SD, on July 10, 1970. They had one child, Shannon. Terry later married Ronald Mallary. They had one child, Shane.
Terry worked several jobs in the computer field. She at one time owned her own business called Windside, dealing in residential windows and siding. Terry loved the outdoors, the Black Hills, gardening, and animals (sometimes loving animals more than people).
Terry is survived by her four siblings: Larry Cappel, Jerry Cappel, Kerry Cappel, and Sherry Cappel. She is also survived by her two children, Shannon (Larkin) Sempsrott and Shane Mallary.
