\While the work is underway, Dakota Avenue will be closed from Third Street North to south of Second Street North. Traffic on Dakota Avenue will be fully restored once the utility and storm sewer operations are complete.
A signed detour will be in place during these operations directing motorists to use Third Street South, Lincoln Avenue, and U.S. Highway 14.
The prime contractor for this $19 million project is BX Civil and Construction Inc. of Dell Rapids. The overall project completion date is October.
