ARLINGTON — A Friday morning accident a few miles west of Arlington sent two people to Brookings Health System with serious injuries, according to the Kingsbury County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident, involving a pickup and a garbage truck, occurred 2 miles west of Arlington at approximately 7:45 a.m. on U.S. Highway 14. The pickup’s driver, along with a passenger, were taken by ambulance to Brookings. The garbage truck’s driver was not injured.
In addition to the sheriff’s office, other responding agencies were Arlington Fire and Ambulance, Lake Preston Ambulance, Brookings Ambulance and the South Dakota Highway Patrol.
