BROOKINGS — Someone destroyed two utilities hookups at the campground on Third Street in Elkton, according to a news release from the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office was contacted Feb. 21 about the damage, Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring wrote. According to the release, evidence showed that two full hookup utilities spots were damaged when an unknown Toyota Rav 4 hit the posts.
The damage could have been done any time between November and when the report was taken on Wednesday, Sebring wrote.
The cost to repair the damage was estimated at $3,000.
