I write in strong support of Bonny Specker’s re-election to the Brookings City Council.
It seems to me that people in public office are in positions of trust, and I trust Bonny. In her first term, she demonstrated that she is conscientious, prepared, and always shows up. I have seen her talk with, and listen to, people of a variety of backgrounds, maintaining respect despite differing opinions. She brings both a “big picture” perspective (e.g., What will be best for Brookings?) as well as “small picture” perspective (e.g., acknowledgement of the need to be adaptable in individual cases).
On a personal level, Bonny is engaging, kind, generous—and funny! Her lively intelligence and research orientation serve our city well as she digs into issues, examines options, and thinks creatively to solve problems. I believe we are fortunate to have a person with Bonny Specker’s skills on the Brookings City Council.
I trust Bonny to continue her good work and hope you will join me in voting to re-elect her.
