SIOUX FALLS – Elkton-Lake Benton’s Danial Nelson and Arlington’s Nick Kersting led the local contingent at the Class B State Boys’ Track and Field Meet on Friday at Howard Wood Field.

Class B boys’ meet kicks off at Howard Wood Field

SIOUX FALLS – Elkton-Lake Benton’s Danial Nelson and Arlington’s Nick Kersting led the local contingent at the Class B State Boys’ Track and Field Meet on Friday at Howard Wood Field.

The duo tied for sixth in the pole vault after clearing 10 feet, 9 inches.

Colman-Egan’s Dalton Voelker placed eighth in the shot put with a heave of 49-10.

Warner tops the team standings with 27 points, while Northwestern (20) is second (20) and Viborg-Hurley (19) third.

The meet concludes today.
