BROOKINGS – For the fourth consecutive year, the respiratory care program at South Dakota State University has been honored for achieving 100% Registered Respiratory Therapist Credentialing Success.

BROOKINGS – The state on Wednesday reported 972 new COVID-19 cases and three deaths in South Dakota in the past week. Thirty-eight of the new cases and two deaths have been reported in Brookings County.

PIERRE – Registration is now open for the 2022 South Dakota Governor’s Agricultural Summit. The Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources will host the two-day event on June 22-23 in Brookings at the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on South Dakota State University’s campus.

BROOKINGS – Dr. Jessie Juarez has been named the new director of South Dakota State University’s Professional Program in Veterinary Medicine.

BROOKINGS – Throughout the week of June 13, the Institute of Lutheran Theology will hold its year-end board of trustees meeting at the Comfort Suites Hotel. In conjunction with the board meeting, the faculty will hold a twice-a-year meeting here in Brookings as well.

BROOKINGS – Six Brookings High School seniors were honored this spring as Students of the Month by the Brookings Rotary Club. The students joined club meetings via Zoom to address the members and receive their recognition.
