Wednesday, April 3
9:14 a.m. Officers responded to the 600 block of Western Avenue for a complaint of fraud. A report was generated.
10:47 a.m. Officers were made aware of a juvenile incident in the 500 block of Elm Avenue. An investigation was made and charges are pending.
1:49 p.m. Officers received a complaint about harassment. A report was generated.
Thursday, April 4
1:20 a.m. Officers arrested a driver for DUI.
9:59 a.m. Officers received a fraud report.
7:01 p.m. An animal complaint was filed with Brookings PD. A female reported that her dog was attacked while she was walking it down an alley. The attacking dog was located and impounded. The incident is still under investigation.
7:30 p.m. Brookings police assisted the South Dakota Highway Patrol on a traffic stop
8:23 p.m. The Brookings Police Department took a report of a possible protection order violation.
8:27 p.m. An officer responded to the 100 block of West 8th Street South, for the report of a stolen vehicle/unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
10:25 p.m. The Brookings Police Department responded to the report of an individual attempting to enter a motor vehicle.
10:43 p.m. BPD officers arrested an individual for a parole violation.
Friday, April 5
9:16 a.m. Officers investigated a traffic complaint.
11:32 a.m. Officers were made aware of a juvenile incident in the 300 block of 15th Avenue. An investigation is ongoing.
2:30 p.m. This case is to document an evidence destruction that was completed on this day.
3:02 p.m. Law enforcement took a fraud report
4:02 p.m. Brookings Police responded to a two-vehicle, non-injury crash. One driver was arrested for DUI.
8:54 p.m. Officers were called to the Dacotah Bank Center for an intoxicated male who was being disorderly. He was later arrested.
Saturday, April 6
2:06 a.m. Brookings Police conducted a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence.
2:26 a.m. Officers received a phone call about a possible assault. The phone call turned out to be a hoax.
2:34 a.m. Brookings Police Department responded to the Corner Pantry for a theft. The incident is being investigated.
9:18 a.m. Law enforcement took a report of a lost prescription.
4:21 p.m. Law enforcement arrested a female for a warrant.
6:36 p.m. Brookings police officers responded to a shoplifting report at Walmart. One female was cited.
8:53 p.m. Brookings police officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance. The investigation is ongoing.
Sunday, April 7
1:54 a.m. Officers conducted a traffic stop. The stop resulted in a DUI arrest.
5:36 p.m. Officers took a report of fraud.
8:15 p.m. Officers responded to a local hotel for a possible suicidal subject.
Monday, April 8
7:55 a.m. The Brookings Police Department took an intentional damage to property report. One subject was arrested.
11:55 a.m. Brookings Police took a report of fraudulent activity.
Tuesday, April 9
11:58 a.m. Law enforcement took a report about fraud tax returns.
12:35 p.m. Officers responded to the 500 block of Elm Avenue for an intentional damage report. An investigation was made and charges are pending.
3:39 p.m. Officers responded to the 2200 block of Sixth Street for a report of shoplifting.
6:26 p.m. A report of harassment was made at the Brookings Police Department.
9:38 p.m. Officers responded to the 2200 Block of 6th St and issued a citation for shoplifting.
Wednesday, April 10
8:56 a.m. Officers took a report of damage to a building.
9:34 a.m. Officers were notified of an individual with an active warrant in the 500 block of Elm Avenue. One male was taken into custody.
1:02 p.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted a traffic stop. The vehicle was towed for no insurance.
5:34 p.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted alcohol compliance checks and a business in Brookings failed to check the identification of the underage buyer. The employee was cited for furnishing alcohol to a minor.
5:58 p.m. The Brookings Police Department conducted alcohol compliance checks and a business in Brookings failed to check the identification of the underagebuyer. The employee was cited for furnishing alcohol to a minor.
