BROOKINGS – The Boys & Girls Club is hosting its 10th annual Truck Raffle, with tickets being sold until June 10. Each ticket costs $100, and only 1,000 tickets will be sold. Prizes include three $1,000 cash prizes, several early bird prizes, and a grand prize 2019 Ram 1500.

Early bird prizes will be drawn each Friday of the weeks leading up to the grand prize drawing on the evening of June 10. Tickets must be purchased by 11:59 p.m. Thursday to be eligible for early bird prize drawings on Friday. Names will be re-entered after winning an early bird prize, meaning the earlier you enter, the more chances you have to win. 

Boys & Girls Club of Brookings first opened its doors in 2003 with 40 members. In 2019, the club served over 2,800 youth, providing a safe and positive place after school and in the summer. Throughout the last couple months, the club has continued to serve members through virtual programming, providing evening meals, and opening to serve children of emergency responders.

“The annual truck raffle is an excellent opportunity to support the Boys & Girls Club of Brookings,” Elementary Director Matt Sass said. “Not only do you have the opportunity to win a brand new truck and many early bird prizes, but you are also helping support more than 1,000 kids and families in Brookings and the surrounding communities. The funds raised from the truck raffle help provide programming that focuses on academic success, character and leadership, and healthy lifestyles. This year especially, we need your help so that we can be there to support the families and kids that need us most.”

Tickets may be purchased from the club website, www.greatfuturessd.org, or at the following sponsors: Einspahr Auto Plaza, Hy-Vee, Medary Acres, Dacotah Bank, Pheasant Restaurant & Lounge. Tickets are also available for purchase online on both the Pheasant Restaurant and Medary Acres websites and received upon pick up or delivery. 

The grand prize drawing will be held virtually at 6 p.m. June 10 on the Boys & Girls Club of Brookings Facebook page. The club will host a variety of pre-recorded and live entertainment and will announce the raffle winners near the end of the hour. 

The grand prize will be announced first, with cash prizes to follow. Ticket holders do not need to be present to win.
