BOOKINGS – Councilor Keith Corbett, left, administers the oath of office for mayor to Scott Munsterman before the Brookings City Council meeting Tuesday evening. Munsterman will serve as the interim mayor up to the election in April, when the newly elected mayor will take office.
Munsterman, a former Brookings mayor and state legislator, agreed to fill the open seat after Tim Reed was elected as District 7 representative and stepped down as mayor. Reed was also sworn into his new post this week.
