Thursday, July 19

12:04 p.m. Officers took a juvenile report in the 500 block of 12th Street South.

1:20 p.m. Theft

9:21 p.m. Officer Weets responded to the Brookings Emergency Room to take a report of an animal bite. A report has been generated.

Friday, July 20

1:01 a.m. Officers responded to a report of two males who stole a construction road sign. They were located and arrested for petty theft and possession of a road sign.

9:14 a.m. Officers took an individual into custody for a Brookings County warrant.

10:22 a.m. Officers responded to the 2300 block of Yorkshire Drive for a mental health issue.

11:39 a.m. A non-injury accident was reported on Sixth Street.

12:10 p.m. Harassment

9:10 p.m. An officer arrived in the 900 block of Sixth Street to take a report of an dog that had bitten a delivery driver. A report has been generated.

11:06 p.m. Improper right turn; DUI-second offense

Saturday, July 21

7:09 p.m. Officer Bonnema stopped a motor vehicle for a violation. During the stop, factors of criminal activity were observed. Probable cause was established to search the vehicle, and the passenger was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Sunday, July 22

1:22 a.m. A traffic stop was conducted in the 700 block of Sixth Street for an equipment violation. The female driver was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested for DUI.

4:41 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Seventh Avenue South for a domestic dispute. One party was arrested.

2:49 p.m. Officer Franklin took a two-vehicle, non-injury accident report in the 1000 block of First Street.

4:32 p.m. Officers were dispatched to the intersection of 22nd Avenue and Sixth Street for a two-vehicle, non-injury vehicle crash. A report was filed.
