Bradley Hesby, age 36, of Volga, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls from an aortic aneurysm. 
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m.on Friday, April 23, 2021, at First Lutheran Church in Volga with a private family burial to follow in the church cemetery.  Visitations will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, also at the church. Face masks are required at both services. The funeral will be live-streamed on First Lutheran Church’s Facebook page.  Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 
 Bradley Keith Hesby was born on June 26, 1984, to Keith and Paula (Erdmann) Hesby in Brookings, South Dakota. 
He was baptized at First Lutheran Church in Volga.  Brad lived in the Volga area until moving to Estelline.  He attended school and graduated from Estelline High School in 2003. During high school, Brad enjoyed playing on the basketball and football teams and lifting weights. 
 After high school, Brad worked in various jobs including his most recent employment with Jack Peterson in spray foam insulation. He truly enjoyed this type of construction work. 
 Brad loved his two sons, and adored spending time with them. He loved being outdoors. Brad enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting, and planning what to grow in his gardens.  
He enjoyed listening to music, and spending time with the many friends he had made throughout his life.  He always had a big smile for everyone. Brad also enjoyed watching documentary on the Nature Channel. He had a true gift to be able to have a conversation with everyone he met.   
 Survivors include his children, with Terri Logan, Lincoln and Ronin Hesby of Volga, SD; mother, Paula (Mark) Johnson of Ham Lake, MN; his step-mom, SueAnn Hesby; his sibling, Wesley Hesby; half-siblings, Brittany and Emily Hutt and Quinton and Cody Hesby; step-siblings, Kristina (Christopher Foster) and Nickolas Hersrud; his grandparents, Marilyn Hesby and Lucine (Randy) Rieckmann; and his niece and nephews. 
He was preceded in death by his father, Keith Hesby; grandfathers Stanley Hesby and Nicholas Erdmann; his aunts Kristen Hovey and Pam Erdmann.

Memorials are preferred to Brad’s children.
